Abitibi-Témiscamingue
Abitibi -Témiscamingue (region 08) is a vast region located north-west of Quebec City. Its sheer expanse, as well as the beauty of its lakes and rivers, appeal to outdoor enthusiasts. The region is renowned for its diverse landscape; the conifer forests to the north, mixed forests in the interior and deciduous forests to the south are home to moose, black bear and small game. The aquatic life is also varied, including species such as walleye, speckled trout, lake trout and pike. The Abitibi-Témiscamingue is reasonably close to the provincial capital, which offers a wide range of attractions and activities. A region well worth the visit!
