Located about 370 km (230 mi.) from Montréal, Poirier Fish and Game Territory runs alongside the Réserve faunique La Vérendrye, in the heart of the Outaouais region. Easily accessible woods and lakes in a 320 km² (124 sq.-mi.) territory are ideal for fishing and hunting. In fact, fish and game abound, including walleye, northern pike, lake trout, speckled trout, moose, bear and small game. The main camp is built on the shores of Delahey Lake and can accommodate 78 persons in several cottages and cabins, each sleeping 4 to 6. These quarters are equipped with propane gas stove, wood stove, electric refrigerator, dishes and cookware. There is running water, indoor toilets, gas and electric lighting. Central showers are available. Guests can also stay at a campsite at the main camp. Campsites are equipped with picnic tables and toilets; guests have access to central showers and a beautiful sandy beach. Several outpost cabins are also available during the hunting season.
